Vish Mishra

Vish Mishra is a venture capitalist with Clearstone Venture Partners since 2002. Clearstone is an early-stage technology fund with over $650M in committed capital with offices in Santa Monica, Menlo Park, California and Mumbai India. A Silicon Valley veteran, Vish has over 30 years of leadership and management experience in the technology industry covering computers, internet, communications and software. He has served as a founder of Telera (sold to Alcatel) and co-founder of Excelan (sold to Novell), generating over $1B in revenues. Vish has also served as a CEO and director of several startup companies.

Purnima Kochikar, Director of Strategy and Business Development, Nokia Enterprise SolutionsPurnima Kochikar, has more than 12 experience in the mobile communications industry. Currently, she is the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Nokia Enterprise Solutions., At Nokia, Kochikar is responsible for evaluating and driving growth opportunities in the mobile security, middleware and enterprise voice-data convergence segments. Kochikar joined Nokia in 2003, and worked as Senior Product Manager for Multimedia Solutions in Nokia mobile phones, before taking on her current role.

Tom Kosnik
Fenwick and West Consulting Professor, Stanford University (MS&E)

Tom Kosnik is a Consulting Professor who teaches Global Entrepreneurial Marketing and the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Seminar in the Stanford Technology Ventures Program at Stanford School of Engineering. He is currently collaborating with faculty at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden and the National University of Singapore to develop a new course entitled Global Entrepreneurial Leadership, which will be delivered in autumn of 2002 using mobile technologies and the Internet. He has also taught a variety of marketing courses at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Professor Kosnik's research and consulting focuses on five themes: Circles of Influence, Global Entrepreneurial Marketing, Designing Systems that Summon the Spirit, Managing Global Partnerships and Managing Market Risks. He has worked with over 100 startup companies since 1975, and has consulted to leading Information Technology product and services companies including American Management Systems, Apple Computer, Applied Materials, Ernst & Young, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, and Oracle.

Tom also shares his skills and expertise with non-profit organizations by supporting the Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students (BASES), College Kids, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Starshine Foundation, and Women's Technology Cluster.

  Lewis Adams
CTO, GainSpan Corporation

Lewis Adams is Chief Technology Officer at GainSpan Corporation, where he leads the technology efforts for GainSpan's innovative Wi-Fi semiconductor and software solutions. Prior to GainSpan, Lewis spent over 30 years at Intel Corporation, where he was chief technologist on multiple emerging communications technologies, such as cable, DSL, satellite, RFID and 802.11. His efforts resulted in several new internal businesses and technology innovations, amongst which, he was Chief Technologist of the joint venture startup with Pacific Century Cyberworks in Hong Kong, which grew into a multi-billion dollar business within three years. Lewis holds several patents in networking and communications.

Hank Nothhaft
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Danger

As a serial entrepreneur, Hank Nothhaft has been a pathfinder in the telecommunications and networking industries, growing pioneering startups, such as Concentric Network Corp., DSC Communications and GTE Telenet Communications (now Sprint), into mature industry leaders. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Danger, Inc. since October 2002, Hank has directed the company from its initial product launch to its present position as a market leader in the mobile internet market.

Tim Danford
Partner, Storm Ventures

Tim invests in multiple areas of information technology, including computing, networking, mobility systems, infrastructure and application software. At Storm, he actively incubates new companies like Airespace, Ad Infuse and Mobile Iron and has led multiple investments. He serves on the Board of Directors at Ad Infuse and Mobile Iron and is an Advisor to the Boards of 3Leaf Systems, Asoka, Transeara and Qwaq.

Tim joined Storm Ventures from Cisco Systems, where he was a technology leader in the Corporate Business Development organization. He was responsible for developing technology strategy, identifying opportunities and worked with business development managers to execute investments, partnerships and acquisitions. He co-founded and built Cisco's Enterprise VoIP Business Unit which resulted in the acquisition of Selsius and the implementation of the Cisco AVVID product lines.

Tim has over 20 years of extensive Internetworking and Telecommunications technology experience gained while working at Cisco Systems, Synoptics and Ameritech Information Systems. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. His technical education is in ship-board Radio and Telecommunications systems, Loran navigation systems and Cryptography. Tim studied Criminal Justice at Kent State University in Ohio and networking communications at the Advanced Data Networking Institute in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

As a co-founder, Bhaskar leads product strategy and marketing at Qik.com. Prior to Qik.com, Bhaskar led product management/marketing for Real-Time Communication products at Oracle and at PlaceWare (now Live Meeting after acquisition by Microsoft).
